HoursOur hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with NO EXCEPTIONS. There will be a late pick up fee of $10 for the first 10 minutes after 6:30 p.m. and $1 per minute after that. Enrollment FormsBefore your child can be enrolled, you must fully complete and return the forms required by State regulations. TuitionA $30 per child registration fee is due on or before your child’s starting date. Tuition is due on Monday for the upcoming week. A $5 late fee will be assessed if the payment is not made by Thursday. If fees are unpaid one week after the due date, your child will not be admitted back into the school until full payment is made. There is a $30 charge on all returned checks. Cash is required as payment for returned checks. Your account will be put on a cash-only basis after two returned checks. Holidays The school is closed on the following days: When one of these days falls on a weekend, the holiday will be taken on Friday or Monday. We will close at 2:30pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Transportation and Field TripsWe provide transportation to and from area public schools. Please notify us by 1 p.m. if your child does not require transportation from school. Children who remove their seatbelts will be suspended from the vehicle for one week. All field trips will be posted at our facility with destination and departure/arrival times. Field trips are chosen for educational development and recreation. SecurityIf you make arrangements for someone other than you to pick up your child, you must notify the Spring Creek main office. The designated party must present photo identification at the time of pick-up, without exception. If the designated party is under 18 years old, we must have a signed statement giving us permission to release your child to a minor. Please indicate on the enrollment form which individuals are permitted to pick up your child and any individuals who are not permitted to pick up your child. Sign-inState regulations require each child to be signed into the school when dropped off. You must include:
Meals and NutritionBreakfast, lunch and two snacks are provided daily for your child. These meals meet all state health department requirements for nutrition. Menus are posted on the information board in our lobby. Breakfast is served between 6:45 and 8:00 a.m. Lunch is served between 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. We will encourage, but not force, your child to eat. A portion of each food will be served to them, and they are encouraged to try each food. Sugar, salt and additives are limited as much as possible. If you provide meals and snack for your child on a regular basis, you will be required to sign a statement stating Spring Creek Private School is not responsible for the nutritional value of your child’s diet. No soda please. PartiesIf you like to bring a snack for a birthday party, please notify us so we can make arrangements. We try not to have two children’s parties at the same time. We will hold a Christmas Open House and celebrate seasonal holidays each year. MedicationMedicine must be signed in on the medicine sheet at the front desk each day your child is to take it. Medicine for infants is to be signed in on the medicine sheet in the infant room. Your child’s first and last name must be on the medicine sheet. Prescriptions must be in the original container. Over-the-counter medication must be age appropriate or accompanied by a doctor’s prescription. We do not give medication for fever. Health PolicyPreventing the spread of disease begins with careful observation. If your child exhibits any of the following symptoms, please follow these instructions:
If the center director determines that your child should leave the school, we will contact you and ask you to pick up your child. Your child will be isolated from the other children until he/she is picked up. The director will notify parents if a child in the school is diagnosed with a reportable contagious disease. In case of any emergency, we will contact 911 and then notify parents. ImmunizationsThe following immunizations are required before your child will be admitted to the school:
Nap Time/Rest PeriodState licensing requires the center to provide a sleep time or rest period after the noon meal for all children 18 months of age or older. The rest period must not exceed three hours. Children who awake after resting or sleeping for one hour must be provided alternative, quite activities until the nap/rest time is over for the other children. A sanitized mat, which is labeled for each child, will be provided for sleeping. Your child should bring a lightweight blanket with his/her name on it. Please do not bring heavy comforters. No pillows please. SPECIAL NOTE: Soft bedding such as stuffed toys, quilts, pillows, bumper pads and comforters must not be used in cribs for children under 6 months old. Studies show these items may be a potential cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). InsuranceWhile enrolled at Spring Creek, your child is insured by the school’s accident policy. The policy is secondary and will cover the amount not covered by your child’s personal injury policy. Claim forms are available upon request. Child AbuseWe are required by law to report any case of suspected child abuse. Visitation and Parent ConferencesAs a parent with a child in our facility, you are welcome to visit the school at any time during work hours. We encourage you to take an interest in the daily activities and special events of the school. Parent-teacher conferences may be scheduled during the teacher’s working hours. Please let us know in advance if you would like a conference so we can arrange for another teacher to cover the room.
